Originated in 1970 as a local brass band to liven up carnival and other festivities in the village with a few notes of music. “Heidewitska vooruit geef gas” was the first song that these musicians were proudly able to play together after which they craved for more.
This brass band comprises of 14 musicians at the moment and has during recent years evolved into a mature, fully-fledged and successful brass band. The Brookerkapel is a tight-knit group where age doesn’t play a role. Young and old, prove time and again that this group can create a good atmosphere, entertainment and listening pleasure for their audience.
